WORLD SCOUT SCARF DAY ON 1ST AUGUST 2013

1st of August is "World Scout Scarf Day"

All active and former Scouts & Guides are requested to wear their Scout scarfs in public to make the "Spirit of Scouting" visible: once a Scout - always a Scout !!! The scarf is only a symbol of our promise and our mission to leave the world a better a place than we had found it.

           We are happy to inform you that the State Headquarters, Bharat Scouts and Guides, Karnataka  is organizing the 9^th Asia – Pacific Regional Air / Internet Jamboree, on 3^rd & 4^thAugust 2013 at State Headquarters, Fort, Bangalore-02.

         We therefore request you to depute   5  Scouts and   5    Guides along with their Unit Leaders from your School to participate in the event  
         ON  SATURDAY THE 3^RD AUGUST 2013 AND

                 SUNDAY THE 4^TH AUGUST 2013 ( 2 Days )         

       Venue : State Headquarters, Fort, Bangalore-560 002.

         Reporting Time:9.30.A.M.     Relieving Time:4.00.P.M.

          The State Headquarters will provide Lunch, and evening snacks to all the Participants. A Certificate will be issued to the Participants.

          We are happy to inform you that, the Bharat Scouts and Guides, State Headquarters, Guide Wing is conducting State Level Basic Course for Ranger Leaders. Details are as follows:

 Venue                   : Dr. Annie Besant Scouts and Guides State   
 Training Camp; Camping Centre, Doddaballapur, Bangalore Rural District.

 Course                  : State Level Basic Courses for Ranger Leaders

 Dates                    : From 18^th to 24^th July 2013

 Reporting              : From 18^th July 2013 before 9.00 am

 Relieving                : 24^th July 2013 after 4.30 pm

 Registration Fees   : Rs.25/- per head to be met out of Rover & Ranger

                                Funds of the Institutions.

 Travelling Allowance: Travelling Allowance to be met out of Rover &         
 Ranger Funds of the Institutions     

 Who can attend         : Women who have completed 21 years of age &  
 who are working in the First Grade Colleges, Junior Colleges, Polytechnic   
 Institutions & any Female who is interested in running Open Ranger 
 Unit for Girls aged between 17 to 25 years of age  are eligible to attend this 
 course. 

 Uniform                     : Saree:  Deep Sky Blue Saree made of plain

 Non-transparent Material.                        
 : Blouse: White Blouse of plain Non-transparent material  with Two (patch)  
 pockets, half sleeves 8cms above the elbow with turned up and stitched down  
 cuffs 4cms wide, open sports collar with epaulettes  on both shoulders. The 
 length of the blouse shall be 8cm below the waist line. The Blouse shall not  
 be tight fitted, Guide Belt, Scraf, Black closed Shoes, Camel Colour  Socks 
 (Uniform is available on payment of Rs.650/- (approximately) at the Training 
 Centre.

 What to Bring           : Two sets of complete and Correct Uniform Change of   
 clothes, plate and Tumbler, APRO III, Odomos, Torch, Umbrella, Warm 
 Bedding, Toilet Materials, Personal    Meters knotting Rope, Note book and 
 Pen, Pencils, Sketch Pen, K.G. Card sheets, Costumes for Campfire and 
 Cultural programme. Literature pertaining to Rangering is available on  
 payment of approximately Rs.120/-
