was a memorable day for the Scouts &
Guides of Sindhi High School, Hebbal in particular and the Bangalore North
District in General as they achieved another milestone by adopting a small Hamlet
named ‘Bidalapura’ near Devanahalli Taluk.
Adoption of the village was a part of the Centenary Celebrations of Shri
Kondajji Basappa. It was great honour to
have dignitaries from State HQ , Bengaluru North District , Bengaluru Rural Districts
and Local Panchayat Members. The
officials who graced the occasion from Bangalore North District were Miss. P. Saroja
, District Chief Commissioner, Mr. Prem Kumar, District Commissioner (Scouts), Mr.
B K Sheshadri District Secretary.Mr. A.M. Shankar, Asst. State Organizing Commissioner,
The Rural District was represented by Mr. Nagaraj, District Commissioner (
Scouts ), Mr.
Shivappa, District President, . The Bidalapura Gram Panchayat was represented
by Mr. Mahesh, Mr. Kariappa, Mr. Lalitesh, Mr. Jayanth, Mr.Rajanna, & Mrs.

was a memorable day for the Scouts &
Guides of Sindhi High School, Hebbal in particular and the Bangalore North
District in General as they achieved another milestone by adopting a small Hamlet
named ‘Bidalapura’ near Devanahalli Taluk.
Adoption of the village was a part of the Centenary Celebrations of Shri

have dignitaries from State HQ , Bengaluru North District , Bengaluru Rural Districts

The inaugural function started off
with the lighting of the lamp by the
officials, followed by a
melodious rendition by Sindhi School choir, Mr. B.R. Ramesh Scout Master read
out the proposed, the activities scheduled for the year in the village. Mrs P.
Saroja who accepted to be the Chief Guest in lieu of Mr. Siddaiah, State Secretary,
who couldn’t grace the occasion due to other pressure of Work. She appreciated the initiative taken by Sindhi
High School, under the able guidance of their Principal Ms. Vimala Mallappa. She
thanked them and said that this venture had the support and co-operation of all
the Officials of Bengaluru North District . She also announced that materials
worth Rs. 5000/- would be gifted by Bangalore North District to support the
initiatives taken by Sindhi High School.

The chair person for
the day, was the Senior Citizen of the village Mr. Munibyrappa , who wished the
Scouts and Guides, success in all their future endeavours. The Sindhi Scouts
& Guides performed a folk dance for which they were applauded by
everyone.
5 Boys & 5 Girls of Bidalapura Government Higher Primary School
were given scarves and were inducted into the Scouts & Guides movement, to
carry on the Scouting and Guiding activities under the guidance of the Scouters
and Guiders of Sindhi High School.
Free note books and stationery were
distributed by the Officials to the Government School children. They were also
given ribbons, National flags, etc.

Mr. Prem Kumar who spoke to the
audience said that the Lions Club was ready to assist Sindhi High School in
organizing the health camp. He also encouraged the Scouts & Guides and
promised all the support required to
execute the activities scheduled.

Scout and Guide Aspirants
The Motto of Scouts
and Guides were upheld by the programme and reflected the True Spirit of the
movement that is “Hamara Karm Ho Seva,
Hamara Dharm ho Seva....”. The function was a grand success due to the
team effort of the school executives, staff, students and the localities of the
village and the festivities came to a close with a Grand lunch for the Children
and all the participants.
